Staging On Camera Fight Scenes

Staging On Camera Fight Scenes

Did you know a fight is an escalation of the dramatic action from the preceding scene and has a story all it’s own? Before jumping into choreography you have a few questions to ask yourself. – Why a fight at this point in your story? How can this fight serve the story and the character interpretations? How accomplished are the character combatants? How are they matched? What does the “dialogue of the combat” say that words can not?

Testimonials

Joe Grieco, Filmmaker

I have learned a lot from John Holser over the past couple of years, but one thing that stands out is his firm belief in giving back and sharing what he has learned with those who are less experienced. John is not afraid to tell you how it is, but he does it in a respectful way.
